Happy Labor Day!

Hello and welcome. It's Monday, September 1, 2014. I suppose I have at least some skin in the game when it comes to Labor Day. Best I can tell, I have more than 50 years of employment of one kind or another behind me, and still counting, I might add. One of my most frequently asked questions is about when I will quit my regular day job, as it is called. I really don't have an answer. I know it is closer today than it was yesterday but I feel blessed to still have a desire to work, and I am thankful that I can still contribute. I know many friends and colleagues who have left the workplace and gone on to enjoy their retirement days. Some have become very busy servants of the Lord in actively pursuing mission trips, jail ministries, and work in other Church sponsored activities. Others have done the traditional kick-back play golf and enjoy their time approach. Me? Who knows? But one thing I do know. That little girl on my blog today. That's our great granddaughter, Madelyn Joy. I saw that photo and immediately sent her mom a note telling her I think we need to arrange some quality time for her and her great grands, MiMi and Poppy. She, by the way, is a character. And, what a cutie! You don't have to agree but it is okay to humor me. Thanks. Have a great day and I'll see you next time. May God bless. Amen. ....More later.
