We don't have to be reminded that we live in a very dangerous world!

Hello friends, neighbors, and fellow citizens, it is Wednesday, May 5, 2010, and as with any and all days given to us, it is a good day to pause and give thanks and praise to God. According to the Scriptures He alone is worthy of our worship and praise. One of the great texts that explains this truth is found in Psalm 148. We are living in strange times aren't we? We have this huge disaster flowing unabated out in the Gulf of Mexico. We have a horrible situation of flooding that has taken many lives here in our country. We have another failed attempt to kill Americans that wasn't successful but only because of the incompetence of the would be bomber. What has been the response of our government to these critical calamitous situations? In the Gulf oil well explosion it is now apparent the feds were very late to recognize and respond to the problem. Since coming on the scene so late, so far their response has been one more of blaming the oil company as opposed to trying to help mitigate the huge disaster. Sadly, those killed in this horrific accident have been more or less left out of the story. The flooding problems are also more or less on the back burner but I assume that FEMA is at work with local governments to help in recovery. As for the would be bomber in Times Square, this administration is falling all over itself to congratulate how this investigation was conducted as opposed to appreciating their responsibility to prevent murderous attacks from people who are trained and sent here by those who wish to destroy America. It would seem that our President's charm offensive to the known enemies of our country has not made things better, but it could be that we now come across as being weaker which has emboldened those who would love to see another 9-1-1 event.

While our President gained huge accolades for his comedic abilities at the annual Washington press banquet, American soldiers continued to die defending our way of life, people stood helplessly by as their possessions floated away, the oil slick continued to threaten a way of life for those involved in seafood harvesting, and our country again came under attack by a radicalized hater of who we are and what we stand for. I know that life must go on but I also recognize that we must face the reality of the threats that exist each and every day. And, to me, it's no laughing matter. How silly it is to send out all the White House operatives to repeat over and over how the President and his team have been on top of the oil spill since DAY ONE. That became their mantra. Check the facts folks. They didn't really have a clue until many days after and even then they have not shown a level of competence to make a difference in resolving this catastrophic situation. Saying DAY ONE over and over when the record says otherwise helps no one. Telling everyone you are going to keep your boot on the neck of the oil company does nothing to shorten the time that petroleum flows into the gulf.

It also appears to me that this administration along with the Obama press machine wanted so badly for this act of terrorism to have been associated in one way or another with those identified as Tea Party members. The mayor of New York City actually guessed that it might be an individual upset about something, maybe the health care bill. No one in this administration seems to want to face up to the truth. George W. Bush was right. There are people and these people are not misguided, they are evil, and they are plotting 24 hours a day against our country. Calling them something other than terrorists, or trying to make nice with them, or trying to focus instead on those who disagree with your policies is an absolute abrogation of the responsibility to protect and defend the American people. If President Obama could attend Church for twenty years and never have any awareness of the slanderous and hateful speech being spewed out by his mentor pastor, then what else is he and his team missing today? We need help folks. That help must come from above. We need God's intervention for the sake of our country and the future of our children and grandchildren. Amen. .......More later.
