“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!” ~ A Visit from St. Nicholas by Clement Clarke Moore, also known as "The Night Before Christmas"

Good morning and Merry Christmas to one and all. It is Thursday, February 11, 2021, and we are, Lord willing, headed later this morning out to San Antonio to finish our 2020 Santa photos and to give gifts to our first granddaughter and her family. We had planned to do this much earlier but coordination conflicts along with COVID prevented us from doing so. We hope to get this done this evening and we will be returning to the home base tomorrow, just in time to prepare for the predicted deep chill headed our way. I have seen temperature low predictions all over the page including some near single digits. We try to keep an eye on the weather forecasts but, like I say, they do tend to differ depending on which one you use. At any rate, we do know it will be well below freezing for overnight lows for several days next week, and, as the wife said, "Looks like we will have some winter this year." Because of our travel, I will not be sending out a blog tomorrow.

Just for the record, I have not watched one second of the official impeachment proceedings going on in the US Senate. I believe it is primarily political and serves to try and tarnish former President Trump to the extent he will not be a threat in the future. That may be a bad bet on the part of the Democrats before it is all said and done. I do see blurbs popping up on my Twitter feed, so I do get bits and bites of information regarding the happenings as they unfold. Something the current majority did not anticipate is how strong the negative response has been out on the fruited plains. State Republican parties are busy taking action against their representatives and senators who side with the Democrats. I think the new administration along with their cronies in the House and Senate fail to appreciate how common, ordinary people interpret the motives behind this constitutionally vague proceeding. They think it will be a home run but it could end up being a strikeout. We will see.

Have a great rest of the day, a good Friday, Saturday, and Lord's Day Sunday. And, as always, give God the glory, and may He add His blessings. Amen. .....More later.
