Some things just burn me up!

It’s Friday and while we should be winding down from our busy week, I’m actually getting fired up. I was not overly concerned about President Obama’s plan to make a speech to encourage our children to excel in their school studies. But earlier this week when I read the preparation notes coming from the White House to the school system administrators and teachers I came about as close to doing an ‘old faithful’ explosion right here at my desk. Encouragement from a sitting President is okay. But the political propaganda and brainwashing insinuated in those notes are not only an outrage but a threat to our very way of life. It's hard to imagine someone with the temerity to try to turn the hearts of the children away from their parents. It can’t be that bad, right? It is exactly that bad if the parents just happen to disagree with any and all things Obama. Yeah, it is Friday, September 4, 2009 but my mind is not only on the front burner, it’s also burning wide open at the moment.

I continue to tell people how smart these folks are. Their audacity is breathtaking. They incite intentionally and overreach dramatically in what appears on the surface to be self-destructive. However, they know that by doing what they are doing they will eventually get SOME of what they want. They also know that Rome was not only not built in one day but it took a while for it go down and right now they are in the business of remaking America, one brick at a time. They well understand that going for broke will create a fallback position that will end up being forced on their opponents. That fallback position becomes a stepping stone for the next step in their plans to turn America into their vision of what she should be. That vision is one where our history, values, and virtues become extinct. Sadly, I read every day where folks are blindly staying on the bandwagon hoping for the government to solve all their problems while failing to see how the horses that pull the wagon are being sacrificed even as we trudge forward.

We will get a version of Obama-care this year. It will happen. It will be heralded as one of the greatest of all legislative achievements and it will only be a down payment on what is to come. Wednesday evening I heard one of the nightly newscasters talking about President Obama leaving for Camp David to continue his much needed vacation. He was gushing nearly to the point of tears in his sympathy for this beleaguered hero. I couldn’t help but remember how President George W. Bush was skewered each night for taking any vacation while our nation was at war and having such difficult issues to solve. Am I a conspiracy theorist? Not so much, but I do believe that America is being moved towards an environment that will prepare us for the end of time and I believe that it is time for us to renew our commitment to God first, and then to the principles of freedom that have served our great land since it was founded. Don’t let the falling poll numbers fool you. Don’t let the setbacks lull you to sleep. These folks are smart and they are determined to build an America where socialism reigns, one that we would never want to see for ourselves and especially for our offspring! May God help us is my prayer! Amen. Now you have an excellent reason to show up on Lord’s Day Sunday with other believers to pray for our country. …..More later.
