From early on she has occasionally been able to come and spend time with her MiMi and Poppy. We always have a great time and one of the reasons is her gracious spirit and winsome personality. At seven, she loves what most girls her age love. The Disney Channel with High School Musical, Hanna Montana, The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, and on and on and on. She also loves movies. From age three we have rolled around laughing with her while watching the Home Alone movies. She doesn’t just laugh because you are laughing, she laughs because she gets it. This past Sunday she was able to go and see Hanna Montana perform. Wow! Hanna Montana is one of if not the most difficult of all tickets to get. What a lucky girl!
She is a ‘Chic fil a’ fanatic. And, while she may be a petite little princess, she can eat twelve nuggets before you can turn around. She loves using tag lines when she talks. She will throw in a line from a movie, a television show, or a commercial and it just cracks me up. When we are together there’s a whole lot of laughing going on. She asked me recently why I think she is so funny since her cousin Morgan doesn’t think she’s that funny. It was really hard for me to explain exactly why she’s our funny girl but we know she is because of how much fun we have when she is around.
She’s playing softball this year and I understand she is really good at hitting the ball. We’ve not been able to see her play but we have seen pictures of her in her uniform. Time does pass and she is well on her way. She is a remarkable child and we are blessed to be her grandparents. God has been good to us and especially so when it comes to our grand kids. We want to send out a very happy birthday greeting to our Lexie, the world’s funniest girl, as proclaimed by her Poppy. MiMi also sends her love.
