1st Timothy Chapter 2, "1) Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2) for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4) who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5) For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6) who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7) for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth."

Hello folks, and welcome to our time together for today, Monday, November 9, 2020. I remind us all one more time, starting with my personal trio, me, myself, and I, how those inspired admonitions quoted in today's title came during the time of a very hostile government to Christians, Rome itself. In my many years of teaching, I can say, based on my handling of this passage, it is one of the most disliked and one that folks openly argue with. I know it is tough to accept an outcome like the one we experienced, however, God is still God, and He will work it all out in His own time in a way that will bring honor to His great name and it will carry forth His unstoppable plan and purpose.

Bentley here, "They tell me coming up this week I will be observing my second birthday.  I was nine weeks old when I arrived here at my new home. The man of the house is my primary caretaker and he likes to think he is number one, but, I can tell you without hesitation, the lady of the house gives much better belly rubs. They talk about me as if I am spoiled to the point of me being nearly delusional, but, this is coming from a fellow who advertises himself as the real Santa Claus. These folks love and care for me. In return, I do what I do naturally, I love them back with all I have to give. I couldn't be happier! Happy Birthday to me!"

We should continue to pray that God will intervene in providing ways to stymie some of the ungodly policies being promoted by those who will now have more power than before. He can do that. Just in case you wondered. I am thankful we live in a county and in a state that continues to resist these radical leftist approaches. We do have pockets of left-leaning political operatives and sadly they are in some of our most highly populated counties. That is troubling because they continue to influence statewide voting due to their huge numbers. They promote class warfare and offer a socialist-leaning approach to governing. Meanwhile, we can continue to do our part by fulfilling God's instructions for how we as believers should conduct ourselves in terms of the government we live under.  I report again, sadly, that I've seen a number of people disconnecting from Facebook entirely because of the hate-filled venom reflected in so many posted opinions. Why sad? Because most of those postings are coming from folks who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ. I will end with that for today and offer a prayer for God's favor and blessings to return to our great nation. Amen. .....More later.
