First Verse to the song, 'It's a Small World After All', "It's a world of laughter A world of tears It's a world of hopes And a world of fears There's so much that we share That it's time we're aware It's a small world after all"

Our little Ava is 5 today. Yay! That's her with her big sis, Madi-girl.

Hello and welcome. Today, it is the only one we have to deal with at the moment and it happens to show up as Thursday, September 4, 2025. For us, another day and another birthday for one of our precious grands. This great and  grand girl Ava celebrates her 5th birthday today. She is a remarkable child and we hate how we don't get to see her very often but that doesn't diminish our love for her one iota. Our prayer is that God will be with her and her family as she grows and develops into the individual He has planned for her. Amen.

I know I use the iota quite often typically to indicate an infinitesimal small amount. The word itself goes back a long way, and here is our AI friend's representation of it's origin: "Iota, a term meaning a very small amount, derived from the Greek letter iota (ι). Iota is the smallest letter of the Greek alphabet, and its small size, both as a stroke of the pen and sometimes even as a subscript beneath another letter, led to its metaphorical use to represent anything tiny or insignificant." You didn't care but now you know. Me too. It is I suppose a small world after all. And, as the late comedic great, Steven Wright put it, "It's a small world but I would hate to paint it." I gather the idea behind small world is to remind us all that we are in fact connected in one way or another, to each other. You know. You unexpectedly meet someone you know in a place you wouldn't have expected to see them and what do you say, "It's a small world!" I remember a fellow talking about how his family had planned a trip for a long time. They finally made the journey to a distant destination. One day they were crossing the street and they met their next door neighbors. The neighbors did not know my friend was going to that location. My friend didn't know the neighbors would be there too. In his telling of it his point was how you have to guard your testimony before others because you never know who you might meet that knows you. Yikes! I suppose it is a small world after all. What say you?

I know what some of you are thinking. That fellow couldn't come up with much for today. If we were playing Bingo those thinking that would be winners. Congratulations. But, at the same time, as you can tell, it did not keep me from slinging words onto the electronic page. That makes me a word-slinger. It doesn't imply the words connect up to form something meaningful, it just means they fill up the page. I do feel good about the copied words I use, especially from that Source Book for all truth, The Holy Bible, as this great testimony reflects from Isaiah Chapter 55 as rendered in the literal translation contained in the Legacy Standard Bible:

"..... 6)Seek Yahweh while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.
7)Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to Yahweh,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
8)“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares Yahweh.
9)“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
10)For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it bear and sprout,
And giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11)So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what pleases Me,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
12)For you will go out with gladness
And be led forth with peace;
The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you,
And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
13)Instead of the thorn bush the cypress will come up,
And instead of the nettle the myrtle will come up,
And it will be to Yahweh for His renown,
For an everlasting sign which will not be cut off."

Okay. You can count on those WORDS. They were breathed out by God through His servant Isaiah. May God help me and everyone who reads to take these words to heart. Now I close with a prayer for us all and that God will add His blessings. Amen.
